Brain Food 122

This brain food is a little different. Rather than the usual 3 quotes, this is a single article, called: The Optimist Creed. This was originally published in 1912 in a book titled "Your Forces And How To Use Them". This famous creed by Christian D Larson is worth reading every evening and morning.

Promise Yourself

* To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

* To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

* To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.

* To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

* To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.

* To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are your own.

* To forget about the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

* To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet.

* To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

Brain Food 98

~ "They presented unto him gifts; gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh.." ~

"All of us need to follow the example of the Savior in giving these kind of gifts. . . . This Christmas, 'Mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. Write a letter. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize. Try to understand. Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Be kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more. Express your gratitude. Welcome a stranger. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth. Speak your love and then speak it again." -Howard W. Hunter

The Optimist Creed

Originally published in 1912 in a book titled “Your forces and how to use them”, this famous creed by Christian D Larson is worth reading every evening and morning.

Promise yourself

*To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

*To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

*To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.

*To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

*To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.

*To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are your own.

*To forget about the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

*To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet.

*To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

*To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

*To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud word, but in great deeds.

*To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side, so long as you are true to the best that is in you.
